Teresa Sullivan
Executive Director ISS Program
For more than 28 years, Teresa has dedicated her life to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through education, recreation, and inclusive community programming.
Teresa has served 15 years with North East ISD (NEISD) and has spent the past 14 years building and leading SAFIRE, transforming it into a welcoming environment focused on independence.
She holds certifications in Physical Education, Health and Special Education and has taught middle school Physical Education and Adapted PE for students of all ages and ability levels. Her unique background in both education and adaptive recreation has shaped SAFIRE into a program that promotes growth far beyond traditional day services.
Teresa has also dedicated 28 years to Special Olympics coaching, inspiring volunteers and athletes to discover confidence, develop new skills and achieve goals they never imagined possible.
